Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.
Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
We may also collect information that Your browser sends whenever You visit our Service or when You access the Service by or through a mobile device.
Location Data
This Location Data section forms part of this Privacy Policy and applies to the kerjapedia.com website (the “Website”) and the Kerjapedia application (the “App”).
What We access and collect. We collect location data in three ways.
Device location: When You use the App, We access location from Your device's GPS or location services only after You grant permission through the prompt shown by Your device. This includes approximate location (city, district or village, postal code, and province) and precise location (GPS coordinates, including latitude and longitude, and the accuracy reported by Your device). On the Website, We access Your device location only if You allow Your browser to share it.
Locations You provide: We store addresses and location labels You save, points You select manually on the map, and location pins You share in chat. These do not require device location permission.
Location derived from IP address: Our analytics and error monitoring providers may derive Your approximate city-level location from Your IP address when You use the Website or the App.
When We access location. The App accesses Your device location while the App is in use, when You open features that need it, such as nearby jobs and workers, maps, job location selection, and Fast Service.
The App accesses location in the background only for Fast Service. If You are a worker and turn on Fast Service availability, the App sends Your location in the background approximately every 5 minutes, including while You are waiting for an order and before You receive one. The App also sends location in the background while a Fast Service order is in progress. While background updates are active, Your device displays a persistent notification. Background updates stop when You turn Fast Service off, sign out, or the order is completed or cancelled.
We do not access location in the background for any other purpose. Notifications about nearby jobs or workers are based on Your saved profile location and do not require background location access. We do not access Your device location if You deny or revoke the permission, and You can select a location manually on the map without enabling GPS.
How We use location. We use location data to show nearby jobs and workers, calculate distances and rank recommendations, set and display job locations and meeting points, display maps and navigation, convert coordinates into addresses through a geocoding service, track worker position on Fast Service orders, send notifications about nearby jobs or workers if You enable that preference, and maintain security, detect abuse or fraud, and resolve disputes.
How We share location. Except as described in this section, other users see only Your approximate location (city or district level, or coordinates rounded to about 1 kilometer) and an approximate distance rounded to the nearest kilometer. Precise coordinates are not displayed publicly.
Parties involved in a job or order may see the job location or meeting point needed to complete the work. During Fast Service, the customer may see the worker’s live position to monitor arrival. Location pins You share in chat are visible, at their exact position, to the users You share them with.
Map and geocoding providers receive technical requests, such as the map area You are viewing or coordinates that need to be resolved into an address. Analytics and error monitoring providers may process city-level approximate location derived from IP address. Some of these providers may process data outside Indonesia; where they do, We take the measures required by applicable law to protect it. We may also disclose location data where required by law or in response to a valid request from a competent authority.
We do not sell location data and do not use it for third-party targeted advertising.
Retention. Profile location is stored while Your account is active or until You change or delete it. If You delete Your account, Your profile location is deleted within 30 days. Location sent during Fast Service is stored as part of the order record, which contains only the most recent position, and is kept for 6 months after the order is completed or cancelled. Technical logs containing location data are kept for up to 30 days. We may keep location data longer where required by law or where needed to resolve a dispute or investigate fraud.
Your choices. You can:
- change or revoke location permission in Your device settings;
- change or delete Your profile location in Profile -> Edit Data Profile;
- select locations manually on the map instead of using GPS;
- turn off Fast Service to stop background location updates.
You can also request access to, correction of, or deletion of Your location data, or withdraw Your consent to its processing, by contacting Us at legal@kerjapedia.com. We will respond within 7 days. Please note that turning off or limiting location access may prevent some features, such as nearby jobs and Fast Service, from working properly.
